Dubrovnik Travel
Travel to Dubrovnik to discover why Lord Byron, who was so taken with its beauty, called it the ‘Pearl of the Adriatic’. Few destinations in Europe match Dubrovnik in beauty, charm and history. With some buildings dating back to the 13th Century, Dubrovnik’s Old City is mostly unchanged, a joyful blend of churches and museums, boutiques and open-air cafes. Its medieval ramparts, built in the 16th Century, encircle the city and visitors enter through one of two gates before crossing a stone bridge.
Besides the must-visit attractions in Dubrovnik, there are several beaches nearby, all scenic and fringed by the azure Adriatic Sea. A new addition to the city, the orange-coloured cable car, offers breathtaking views of the Old Town and the sea beyond. This charming medieval walled city, one of the last remaining walled towns in the world, will charm you too when you explore Dubrovnik.
