What is the best time of year to visit Botswana?

While you can expect sun all year round in Botswana, it is advised to go visit in the cooler months of June to August. With incredible game viewing a given, almost no rainfall and a low risk of malaria this is definitely the best time of year to visit Botswana. You can expect pleasant afternoons where the temperature will reach around 25 degrees Celsius, but cool mornings and evenings as low as 6 degrees Celsius - so pack your winter clothes!

The good news is that South African's do not require a visa to visit Botswana. A valid passport is however require, with at least 2 blank pages and valid for 6 months after the date of your return from Botswana.
