- In summer, the bush is beautifully lush and green.

Getting there
- You can drive from Johannesburg to Nelspruit in under 5 hours. A self-drive holiday is an ideal option as you will do a lot of sightseeing.  
- You can also fly to Nelspruit in Mpumalanga and hire a car from there, or directly into Skukuza airport if you are staying at one of the Private Game Lodges as many of these have their own landing strips.
- Flight duration from Johannesburg to Nelspruit: 45 minutes.   
- Flight duration from Cape Town to Nelspruit: 2 hours, 35 minutes.
