Health and Safety protocols: What to expect at South Africa’s airports

With your health and safety being a top priority, changes have been added to the ‘check-in’ process that comes with boarding your flights. We’ll break it down for you.  

South African Tourism (SAT) in partnership with Airports Company South Africa (ACSA) has compiled three videos on what travellers can expect when planning on travelling through an ACSA-operated airport.  

 

Travelling with a Tour Operator?   

For those travellers flying in or waiting to board to get to their next destination, the following measures will need to be adhered to: 

  • Wear a mask at all times 
  • Complete a Travel Health questionnaire before disembarking 
  • Primary and secondary screening 
  • Valid negative PCR test that is no older than 72 hours 
  • Maintain social distancing at all times
