Mauritius Weather

Mauritius has a subtropical climate with temperatures ranging from 22°C (72°F) to 30°C (86°F). It experiences two main seasons—summer and winter —both of which can be great times to visit. Summer months (November through April) are generally hotter and more humid than the winter months (May through October). The late summer months can be especially hot and humid, so keep that in mind if you prefer cooler temperatures.

Rainfall also varies by season. The rainy season usually runs from December to March but it doesn’t rain every day during this period. There may be some heavy showers, but they tend to pass quickly. Winter months are drier with occasional rain showers. It’s important to note that cyclones can occur in any month of the year, so be sure to check the weather forecast before booking your trip.
