Europe experiences a high season in mid-summer and again in mid-winter. Expect large crowds in the warmest months of July and particularly August. In the ski season excellent snowfalls are recorded in January and even February. December is always busy in locations such as Paris, Prague and the Austrian and German cities with quaint Christmas markets.
