Marienplatz Christmas Market is located in the heart of the city, one of the most iconic and well-known markets in Munich. It features a large Christmas tree, countless stalls selling handicrafts, gifts, delicious food and a festive atmosphere that will get you into the holiday spirit.

The Sofitel Munich Bayerpost is situated in the heart of the city, just 100m from Munich's main train station. The building is awash with architectural elegance and cosmopolitan culture. French savoir fused with Bavarian zest for life.

Munich has been hosting Christmas markets for 600 years, and every year the medieval centre of town is transformed into a winter wonderland cluttered with charming stalls selling every variety of classic decoration and gift in an atmosphere happy with the scent of roasted nuts and hot spiced wine. Make regular stops at the various stalls, your guide will tell you about the history of the markets, the meaning of the displays, and the Advent and Christmas rituals associated with them. You'll also get to sample the traditional seasonal delicacy, Lebkuchen gingerbread cake enjoy the festivities and soak up the atmosphere.
