TreadRight is a not-for-profit foundation established by The Travel Corporation to encourage sustainable tourism within our own family of brands, and in the places we visit.
To date, TreadRight has committed more than USD 2 million to sustainable tourism projects worldwide and encourages industry best practice by annually supporting the World Travel & Tourism Council’s Tourism for Tomorrow awards.

Thompsons Holidays is proud to be part of Project Rhino KZN through our partnership with GoRhino. GoRhino has partnered with Project Rhino KZN, an initiative that sees like-minded associations united to put rhino poaching to an end. Their mission is to show our support in any way we possible. For every GoRhino membership purchased, GoRhino contributes towards Project Rhino KZN’s cause. Saving customer’s rand’s while saving the rhinos!

In September, a team from Thompsons Holidays visited Victoria Falls to get an update on the hotels and activities available at this popular destination. The team brought along books, bags and pencils to donate to a local school through Greenline Africa Trust.
Greenline Africa Trust aims to improve the livelihoods of marginalized women, children & youth through sustainable projects focusing on livelihoods, health, education and biodiversity management.
In November, our team visited the Jordan House Old Age Home. This is an amazing NGO whose main objective is to provide shelter, meals, clothing and other life amenities for the aged or disabled persons.
We had a great time hosting our supplier friends and stakeholders at the "Save the Rhino fundraising event".
Thompsons is committed to contributing towards the conservations of endangered secies such as Rhino. This is important for the sustainabulity of the travel industry and for future generations.
