You can shop till you drop, dine on gourmet fare and enjoy some of the most varied and exciting entertainment offerings imaginable in Singapore, a destination that is all about creating new possibilities
One of the most dynamic cities in Southeast Asia, Singapore is a modern metropolis, a melting pot of cultures, cuisines and architectural styles that is an absolute joy to explore. Here, modern skyscrapers create a unique skyline and rub shoulders with Colonial-era buildings, while shopping avenues lined with high fashion boutiques vie for attention with numerous underground retail malls full of every type of shop imaginable. There are lots of food courts and riverside bars, the hotels are world class and the outlying areas are full of fascinating temples. Singapore is truly an inspiration…
In Singapore, the lifestyle is a magical combination of European, Chinese, Indian and Malay traditions, which is why the restaurants are so good, and so numerous. The city is more than just a destination; it’s where passion tribes – foodies, collectors, explorers, fashionistas and socialites – come together and where new experiences are created on a daily basis.
It’s not just about what you can do, it’s also about what you can be when you’re in Singapore, so rediscover your passions through the numerous possibilities. Explore this fascinating destination and discover its magic.

For some action, head for the trendy shopping malls on Orchard Road or make a beeline for the bustle of Chinatown and the kaleidoscope of colour in Little India. Take time to play on Sentosa Island, home to Resorts World Sentosa and a variety of entertainment offerings including a Universal Studios Theme Park, two Casinos, an aquarium and the Adventure Cove Water Park.
Sentosa is also home to Madame Tussauds Singapore, KidZania and AJ Hackett Sentosa. There’s also Palawan Beach, a paradise for socialisers as it’s lined with bars and food stalls and palm-lined Tanjong Beach, a great spot to relax and soak up the sun.

One of the city’s most exciting sights is Gardens by the Bay, a huge, colourful futuristic park with three magnificent waterfront gardens. Its iconic Supertree structures create an impressive skywalk over the gardens, gigantic shell-shaped greenhouses recreate cold mountain climates and there are hundreds of plants and trees. Singapore is also home to some of the most exotic orchids on the planet – you’ll find them at the National Orchid Garden, which was opened in 1995. These rare and beautiful flowers used to be located in the city’s Botanic Gardens but have become such a popular sight that they now have their own space.

A highlight of a visit to Singapore is the Night Safari, the world’s first nocturnal zoo and one of the city’s most popular attractions. Located next to the Singapore Zoo, it resembles a wildlife park; here visitors come to view more than 2,500 wild animals from over 130 species including the endangered Asian elephant and Malayan tigers. There are 4 different walking trails or you can take a 35-minute tram ride across 7 geographical world zones, from the rugged foothills of Himalaya to Equatorial Africa’s swampy banks, viewing animals in their natural habitat.

Thrills abound at one of the city’s most prestigious events, the annual Formula One Singapore Grand Prix, held in September every year. This spectacular night race takes place on the streets of Marina Bay in downtown Singapore. The lights of the circuit create a brilliant spectacle that carves its way between the water and the city’s modern buildings. The race is only one of the attractions; there is a plethora of entertainment including exciting post-race concerts by world renowned stars. The 2019 event will be held on 20 to 22 September.
