This past week some of you may have seen my pictures from my trip to the mighty Victoria Falls. It’s no exaggeration when saying that this truly is one of the earth’s most awe-inspiring and breath-taking natural wonders. The beauty of this adventure is that you can enjoy it from two countries – Zambia or Zimbabwe! This trip was filled with adventure and natural splendour, I couldn’t help myself but try and do as much as possible and plan my next trip to complete everything that I didn’t have time for!Flight of Angels
One of the very first things that I had to do in Vic Falls was to take to the sky and enjoy the view from above. Unless you are standing at the falls, hearing the roar of the water as it flows down to the river below you, the best way to take it all in would be from the top!Swim in the Devil’s Pool
This isn’t something that I did whilst in Vic Falls but if you’re an adrenaline junkie, this is a must do! AT the lip of the falls on the Zambian side, erosion has caused rock pools to form which you can take a refreshing dip in during the drier months.Sunset cruise
Cruising along the Zambezi river is by far one of the most serine things that you can do during your stay. You can hear the falls regardless of where you are, the mist in the distance shows you exactly where it is and see why it is so aptly named as “The Smoke That Thunders”.Bungee Jump
This adrenaline packed feat is definitely the way that you can push the boundaries and test your limits. At the bridge which connects Zambia and Zimbabwe is no man's land and you can free-fall for 111 meters into the “belly of the beast”River Rafting
Renowned as one of the most incredible destinations in the world to go white water rafting, you are bound to have a thrilling afternoon on the Zambezi River. As you surge through the turbulent Batoka Gorge, you will see exactly why this is one of the finest Grade 5 volume rapids on earth!Royal Livingstone Express
There couldn’t be a more romantic way to finish your trip that onboard the Royal Livingstone Express. This is an incredible luxurious train journey that will fulfill any romantic fantasy that you may have! This experience prides itself on nostalgia and helps you sit back and enjoy this unique dining experience amidst the untamed African bushveld.
This is by far one of the most incredible holidays I have ever been on and look forward to coming back soon! Have any of you been to Vic Falls? Please share your experiences with me!
