Situated in a private section of the malaria-free Addo Elephant National Park, Kuzuko Lodge is gloriously situated high upon a hill overlooking the vast expanse of the big five reserve below. This family friendly five star bush lodge welcome's children of all ages and caters for your child's every need from special menus, age appropriate outdoor activities, babysitters, camping cots and much more. Guests are housed in 24 luxurious chalets of which three are wheelchair accessible, featuring an en-suite bathroom with bath and walk in shower, mini-bar, tea/coffee making facilities, colour television, direct dialling telephones and free Wi-Fi. Chalets can either be made up as double or twin rooms with a sleeper coach for children under the age of 12. Guests can enjoy day and night game drives and bird watching under the guidance of qualified game rangers, or enjoy spectacular views of the African sky through the lodges star-gazing telescope. Kuzuko also boasts a swimming pool, wellness center, curio shop, bar, lounge, restaurant with outdoor deck and bush braai boma. Check in is from 14h00 and Check out is by 10h00. Indicative of the critical water shortage in Nelson Mandela Bay, Mayor Athol Trollip has declared a local state of disaster in terms of the Disaster Management Act. At a press briefing today the municipality indicated that this disaster declaration will assist in the identification of the necessary resources, personnel and funds to be allocated as well as extraordinary measures taken to limit the usage of water. The local dam levels are currently at 38.5%. Dam levels are dropping between 3% and 4% per month and could reach dead storage in about four months if the current drought conditions persist. The Metro has called on all residents and businesses to urgently conserve water, due to the critical water situation in the city.
