Maha Shivaratri Tour

Programme Maha Shivaratree Tour 2017:
Visit and Prayer at Holy Lake - Tuesday 21 February 2017
Visit and Prayer at Holy Lake (09H00 to 16h00).
Visit to Ramakrishna Mission Temple at Vacoas.
Visit to Holy Lake (Ganga Talao) and the statue of Lord Shiva (highest in the world).
Prayer at the Mauritiuswarnath Temple (the 13th largest Shiva Lingam in the world).
Prayer at the Hanuman Temple situated on top of the hill. There are 111 steps to reach the temple.
Snacks and Prasad served by the Human Trust Service marquee (tent).
Leave the Holy Lake complex and pass by Bois Cheri Tea Plantation and Curepipe town before returning to the hotel.
City Tour of Port Louis and the North service - Wednesday 22 February 2017
Visit the city of Port Louis
Chinese Pagoda
Marie Reine de la Paix Monument, Port Louis central market where you will find all the ingredients that help make the charm of Mauritius: vegetables, local crafts, famous dhall purees, hot tea or fallooda.
Caudan Waterfront - fast food restaurants, local crafts, jewellery shops and casino.
Visit to Pamplemousses Botanical Gardens, the 60 acre garden, 500 different species of plants especially the giant water lilies, a spice garden at Talipot palms.
Pass by the Grand Baie and Mont Choisy beaches before returning to the hotel.
Visit East Coast and Ile aux Cerfs (09h00 to 17h00) - Thursday 23 March 2017
Stop at the Temple on the Sea (Poste de Flacq).
Visit the Central Flacq open air market. Here we advise you purchase your lunch at the various food outlets.
Stop at Belle Mare Beach and visit the Helderberg Plane Crash monument.
Then proceed to Ile aux Cerfs (Stag Island), paradise for water sports and the most beautiful beach in Mauritius. We advise to take your swimming gear. Please note this excursion includes cost of boat transfers.
At approximately 15h30, leave the island to return to the hotel.
Maha Shivaratree Day - Friday 24 February 2017
Morning and afternoon prayer at main temple.
Morning (08h30 to 15h00) and Afternoon (17h00 to 24h00).
Prayer at the Maheshwarnath Temple, Triolet, first built in 1819 in honour of the
Gods Shiva, Krishna, Vishnu, Muruga, Brahma and Ganesha.
Prayer at Kaylassum Mariamen Temple at Saint Croix, Port Louis.
Lunch at leisure
Blessing at the Venkateswara Temple, Branch of Tirupathi Temple of India.
Return to hotel
After early dinner proceed for evening prayer either at Holy Lake or at Kaylassum Mariamen Temple.
